We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our project “Journey to Space with Little Leukemia Stars: Let Your Picture Go Into Space” organized in collaboration with LadyBug FRC Team and LÖSEV–LÖSANTE Children and Adult Hospital on March 2-3, 2023.

Beautiful drawings by children undergoing treatment at the hospital were transmitted to space and the QO-100 satellite via our MOEP Amateur Radio Satellite Communication Stations:

In Finland, by our operators Barış DİNÇ (OH2UDS) and Burcu AYBAK DİNÇ (OH2CAV).
In Germany, by our operator İsmail ERDOĞAN (DL2IE).
In Türkiye, by our operator Metin AVCI (TA2BZ).

The satellite retransmitted the images back to Earth simultaneously. While our operators in Finland and Germany transmitted the images in KG-STV format, our operator in Türkiye used High Speed Multi Media (HS-Modem) for transmission.

The images were also broadcasted and archived on the WebSDR page of Roberto Abis, an amateur radio operator with the call sign IS0GRB, located on the island of South Sardinia, Italy.

Pictures capture by amateur radio operators from Türkiye and abroad were submitted to MOEP via a form. E-certificates were also sent to all participating children and supporting amateur radio operators on the same day.

The good wishes messages sent by amateur radio operators and the video messages they shot in MoEP station rooms were shared with LÖSEV–LÖSANTE Children and Adult Hospital officials and the LadyBug FRC team at the end of the event.

Even though we may be in different cities, we want you to know that being able to touch your dreams or help fulfill one of your dreams brings us immense joy. At MoEP, we feel every child’s cry and happiness equally in our hearts, no matter where they are in the world. We hope to see children smiling always, making the world a more beautiful place. Your smiles are what make life beautiful and worthwhile for us.

We firmly believe that there is nothing on this earth that love, combined with proper medical treatment, cannot heal. That’s why we wholeheartedly embrace all the children undergoing treatment in hospitals and fully support you and your families in your battles.

Remember, you are not alone in this fight. Together, we are stronger, and victory will be ours. Our most potent medicine to support you is our love and heartfelt wishes, which we leave by your bedside.
