About the NEURON Team
Artificial Intelligence Development Team (NEURON) is an AI solution and development team within Mars on Earth Project (MoEP).
This team works to provide the AI solutions that MoEP needs and aims to make the work at MoEp more efficient.
The work within the team is generally on code bases that provide AI development to increase efficiency for use in the analog Mars research station and to support the work at the station. Therefore, the team’s vision and goals are in line with MoEP.
NEURON’s Mission
The primary goal of the NEURON team is to develop AI models that assist the research within MoEP when needed.
It also aims to design an auxiliary AI model to be used in the analog Mars research station and to develop this model on the basis of increasing efficiency.
In addition to these aims, NEURON embodies the principle of “learning together” within the team in using and developing AI.
In addition, one of NEURON’s important goals is to introduce AI to the public and pre-university students and explain its correct use.
NEURON’s Research Areas
- The Need for AI: Creating AI models in the areas needed in line with MoEP’s request and presenting needs suggestions.
- AI Integration: Adding auxiliary AI support to existing teams and projects within MoEP.
- Efficiency Studies: Bringing AI solutions to increase the efficiency of existing and future projects at MoEP and making the data in these projects faster to process.
- AI Assistant In The Analog Station: Coding the artificial intelligence assistant that will support the work at the stations to be established for Moon and Mars research.
- Large Language Model (LLM) for MoEP: Creation of an AI-powered deep learning language model with a parallel goal to MoEP.
- Explaining AI in the Right Way: explaining AI to people in MoEP and the public, especially young people in pre-university education, and demonstrating its efficient use.
Importance of NEURON
NEURON plays an important role in helping MoEP achieve its goals. The AI and deep learning models developed within the team ensure that MoEP studies are carried out faster and that these integrated models increase the efficiency of the studies.
One of NEURON’s goals, the integration of artificial intelligence into MoEP analog astronaut hardware, is vital for analog astronauts.
Through this integration, analog astronauts will be able to objects and events around them faster and more accurately. In this way, analog astronauts will able to analyze events more efficiently and carry out their research more easily. This example is just one of NEURON’s goals.
NEURON opens a door for young people and professionals interested in space studies and artificial intelligence. It will enable people to access the right information and raise awareness on these topics.
