About the SKY Team
The Sky Observation Team (SKY) is a research team within MoEP that is composed of passionate researchers who are fascinated by the sky. This team comes together to explore the mesmerizing world of stars, planets, galaxies, and other celestial objects. They conduct their observations using telescopes and other equipment.
SKY’s Mission
The SKY team’s primary goal is to raise public interest and understanding of astronomy, in addition to research and observation efforts. The team aims to contribute to discoveries through sky observations and research, and to be an inspiring community for sky enthusiasts.
SKY’s Research Areas
The SKY team is engaged in research in various areas to unravel the mysteries of space. These areas include;
- MoEP Studies: Supporting MoEP’s radio astronomy observation targets with optical observation studies,
- Planets: Investigating the planets and moons in our solar system, researching the potential for other life in our universe,
- Stars: Conducting a wide range of research from the formation to the evolution of stars, working to understand the fundamental building blocks of the universe,
- Galaxies: Studying the formation, evolution, and distribution of galaxies, working to better understand the universe’s past and future,
- Cosmology: Investigating the origin, evolution, and composition of the universe, working to solve the mysteries that underpin our existence.
